To be fair: fees aren't the whole story. Substack takes 10% only when you charge, and free publishing costs nothing, while our planned standard rates are 5–10% by service. For writers in Bangladesh, the bigger difference is how readers pay and where the money lands.

Fees as published by each company on 16 September 2026. Processing, payout, currency and tax charges may apply separately and can change.

Which one fits you?

Pick হবে নাকি Coffee? if

  • You want readers in Bangladesh to pay in taka with bKash, Nagad or a card
  • You want to sell single posts, or let members read them free while others buy
  • You also want coffee gifts or a shop, digital or physical, on the same profile
  • You and your readers would rather use Bangla

Substack may suit you if

  • Email delivery to your subscribers' inboxes is essential to you today

  • You already have a Stripe account in a supported country
  • You publish video posts and want them in the same subscription

Switching from Substack

Move at your own pace. You don't need to close your Substack page first.

  1. Create your page

Sign up with your email and set up your profile.

  2. Recreate your offers

Paid subscriptions become membership plans, and paid posts can be members-only, pay-per-post, or both. Republish the posts you want on your profile.

  3. Export your subscriber list

Export your subscribers as a CSV from Substack's Subscribers page; names aren't included. Only email people who agreed to hear from you. Email delivery here is coming soon, so until then, share your new page in a final Substack post and on your socials.

  4. Tell your audience

Share your new link on Substack, your socials and your bio.

  5. Keep Substack running a while

Paid subscribers stay billed through Stripe until they cancel, so don't cancel their subscriptions for them. Keep your Substack publication online so old links keep working.

  6. Set up withdrawals

Verify your ID and add bKash, Nagad, Rocket or a bank account.
