Nothing is charged when the order is placed or shipped. Once the parcel is delivered and you confirm the cash, the Platform fee is charged at the rate in force when the buyer ordered.
The cash is already in your hand, so if your wallet can't cover the fee, it's kept as Fees owed. Your next online sales pay them off first, or you can pay them yourself any time.
If Fees owed reach the limit, or cash stays unconfirmed for too long, only cash on delivery pauses. Your shop stays open, online payments keep working, and COD comes back by itself once it's sorted. Your Studio warns you as Fees owed get close.
If a buyer refuses the parcel, there's no Platform fee on it. Asking them for the delivery charge is your shop's own policy, and buyers see that it might happen before they order.
You pay a Platform fee only on the product price, and it already includes the payment gateway. The only other charge is a small Delivery processing charge when a buyer pays the delivery charge online. The pricing page always shows today's rates.
